Barbecue Ribs With Roasted Green Beans And Shallots

Ingredients:
FOR THE RIBS
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
2 pounds pork ribs
1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite), for serving
FOR THE GREEN BEANS AND SHALLOTS
1 pound green beans, trimmed
2 shallots, sliced
1 tablespoon olive oil
¼ teaspoon kosher salt
Directions:
To prep the ribs:
In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, chili powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne (if using). Rub the spice blend all over both sides of the ribs.
To prep the green beans and shallots:
In a large bowl, combine the green beans, shallots, and oil. Toss to coat. Season with the salt.
To cook the ribs and vegetables:
Install a crisper plate in each of the two baskets. Place the ribs in the Zone 1 basket and insert the basket in the unit.
Place the green beans in the Zone 2 basket and insert the basket in the unit. Select Zone 1, select AIR FRY, set the temperature to 375°F, and set the time to 40 minutes.
Select Zone 2, select ROAST, set the temperature to 400°F, and set the time to 20 minutes. Select SMART FINISH. Press START/PAUSE to begin cooking. When the Zone 1 timer reads 10 minutes, press START/PAUSE.
Increase the temperature of Zone 1 to 400°F. Press START/PAUSE to resume cooking. When cooking is complete, an instant-read thermometer inserted into the ribs should read 170°F and the green beans should be tender-crisp. Serve topped with your favorite barbecue sauce.
