Ingredients:

FOR THE SCALLOPS

6 slices bacon, halved crosswise

12 large sea scallops, patted dry

FOR THE DATES

4 slices bacon, cut into thirds

12 pitted dates

Directions:

To prep the dates:

Wrap each piece of bacon around a date and secure with a toothpick. To cook the dates and the bacon for the scallops: Install a crisper plate in each of the two baskets.

Place the bacon for the scallops in the Zone 1 basket in a single layer and insert the basket in the unit. Place the bacon-wrapped dates in the Zone 2 basket in a single layer and insert the basket in the unit. Select Zone 1, select AIR FRY, set the temperature to 400°F, and set the time to 12 minutes.

Select Zone 2, select AIR FRY, set the temperature to 360°F, and set the time to 10 minutes. Select SMART FINISH. Press START/PAUSE to begin cooking.

When the Zone 1 timer reads 9 minutes, press START/PAUSE. Remove the basket from the unit. Wrap each piece of bacon around a scallop and secure with a toothpick.

Place the bacon-wrapped scallops in the basket. Reinsert the basket and press START/PAUSE to resume cooking.

When the Zone 1 timer reads 4 minutes, press START/PAUSE. Remove the basket and use silicone-tipped tongs to flip the scallops.

Reinsert the basket and press START/PAUSE to resume cooking. When cooking is complete, the scallops will be opaque and the bacon around both the scallops and dates will be crisp.

Arrange the bacon-wrapped scallops and dates on a serving platter. Serve warm.
